Top of the class: Back to school for Living Wage accreditation
As the new school season rolls in, we’re excited to announce a milestone of our own here at Meeting Place.
We’ve officially become a Real Living Wage Employer!
Although we’ve always been committed to ensuring our team is fairly compensated, it’s great to have that commitment officially recognised with accreditation from the Living Wage Foundation.
As an agency, we’ve long believed in the importance of supporting our employees, not just through our flexible Tribrid working policy — which allows our team to work from home, a third-party location, or one of our flexible office spaces — but also through fair compensation.
The Living Wage certification has rubber-stamped that aim, ensuring everyone on our team earns a wage that meets the real cost of living.
Our journey as an agency has been marked by a dedication to doing things the right way. Becoming a Living Wage Employer has reinforced our promise that we’re here to make a positive impact, not just on the client projects we deliver, but for our teams too.
From learning and self-development opportunities to flexible working arrangements and now, certified fair wages, we want to do right by our employees.
Katherine Chapman, Director, Living Wage Foundation said: “We’re delighted that Meeting Place has joined the movement of over 14,000 responsible employers across the UK who voluntarily commit to go further than the government minimum to make sure all their staff earn enough to live on.
“They join thousands of small businesses, as well as household names such as Burberry, Barclays, Everton Football Club and many more. These businesses recognise that paying the real Living Wage is the mark of a responsible employer and they, like Meeting Place, believe that a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay.”
