Cementing our commitment to ‘build for good’

Culture

It’s been a year since Meeting Place launched our first Building for Good report in 2024 and it’s safe to say a lot has changed since then! In that time the sector has faced considerable challenges, but with greater certainty, planning reform and the housing crisis high on the political agenda, there is growing optimism about the year ahead.

Meeting Place is on a mission to use the built environment as a true force for good, working with our clients and looking internally at our own operations to ensure we’re practicing what we preach. This year, we’ve strengthened our environmental accountability by tracking our energy use and enhancing our carbon offsetting and deepened our commitment to inclusivity. Despite this, we still have more work to do.

Building for Good is our framework to continually measure, refine and amplify our efforts.

We remain committed to working with our clients, partners and communities to deliver positive impact through the built environment, with this report serving as a step in the right direction on that journey.

With 40 tonnes of CO₂ offset through UK tree planting and over £89,000 in social impact delivered through our operations, this year’s Building for Good report reflects meaningful progress — but it’s only the beginning.
