Scheme

LS Estates is leading the transformation of 17 Columbus Courtyard to become Canary Wharf’s next life sciences hub. The scheme will provide 190,000 sq ft of flexible laboratory and office space spanning nine upper floors. The ground floor of the scheme will feature a new communal area with cafe, co-working space, bookable meeting rooms and conference facilities.

The development will provide opportunities to deliver a positive impact for the local community, particularly regarding education, employment and sustainability.

Strategy

Meeting Place has been appointed to undertake a construction comms and social value programme for the project.

Meeting Place has devised a social value programme for the Tower Hamlets community, building partnerships with local organisations to ensure benefits from the development can be realised beyond the red line.

Outcome

As the redevelopment of the site continues, we will be helping LS Estates make a long-term commitment to providing opportunities to enable local people to better understand life sciences, as well as creating pathways to employment within the sector and construction for them.
