One of the largest destinations of its kind in Europe, Milton Park is a dynamic business, science and technology community in Oxfordshire comprising more than 280 companies.

Strategy

Meeting Place is the retained PR and communications agency for MEPC Milton Park. Our holistic focus is focused on engaging with existing companies, attracting new occupiers and raising awareness of the Park within the life science and innovation sectors.

Outcome

As part of our wide-ranging remit, we create compelling content for a range of different channels, from press releases and newsletters to videos and digital content.

We also provide a full press office service for Milton Park, supporting proactive media outreach and handling any inbound enquiries. Ranging from announcing the UK's first electric autonomous bus, to supporting Milton Park in announcing new occupiers, this activity has resulted in hundreds of features, broadcast pieces and news articles to date.

In addition to supporting with monthly newsletters, events and other marketing channels, our team have provided strategic level counsel on a range of industry, engagement and political issues. This has included supporting MEPC with the Milton Park Local Development Order (LDO), the UK’s first data-driven, green-focused planning agreement which has simplified planning decisions for Milton Park and occupiers to just ten days.

We have also supported on a range of events to raise awareness of the Milton Park, which included welcoming Professor Paul Monks CB, the government’s Chief Scientific Adviser at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) and members of the DESNZ team for a tour and roundtable discussion.

We have also established a series of regular Company Spotlight videos, which sees Meeting Place interview occupiers across the Park, supported by the videography team at Oxford House, resulting in slick explanatory interviews which are accompanied by written blogs and embedded in Milton Park’s monthly newsletters.
