Meeting Place supported Regal on its proposals for a mixed-use student-led scheme at 100 and 100a Chalk Farm Road. The site is located next to the iconic Roundhouse and is the former One Housing office and forms part of the Camden Goods Yard Planning Framework.
The plans will provide 264 student bedrooms, 30 affordable homes, nearly 11,000 sq ft ground floor commercial space and improved public realm at street level.
Strategy
Meeting Place has supported Regal and the wider team in delivering community engagement in addition to key support with senior Camden stakeholders, including the lead member for planning, and local ward and neighbouring ward councillors. We hosted two rounds of public engagement, where we outlined the plans to local residents and businesses. Feedback from our events helped to shape the final proposals, which were submitted to LB Camden.
Outcome
The application was granted unanimous consent by LB Camden’s Planning Committee in September 2024.
