Prologis Park, Fradley, Lichfield
Prologis

Scheme
Meeting Place was appointed by Prologis to deliver a community engagement programme for the proposed expansion of Prologis Park in Fradley.
Strategy
The plans sought to deliver a new, purpose-built 640,000 sq ft national headquarters for local logistics firm Palletways. The proposals aimed to consolidate Palletways’ existing operations at Fradley Park, provide capacity for future growth, and set a new benchmark for sustainable logistics development in the UK.
Given the site’s context and limited number of nearby residents, we recommended a digital-led consultation approach. A dedicated project website formed the centrepiece of the engagement, supported by a targeted social media advertising campaign encouraging people to visit the website, review the plans, and share their feedback via an online survey. To ensure accessibility, we also distributed a newsletter and hard-copy survey to local residents.
Recognising the strong local reputation of Palletways, we worked closely with their team to engage employees across their existing Fradley facilities. This helped to build awareness among the workforce and demonstrate the occupier’s commitment to growing within the local area.
This multi-channel approach delivered strong results. Over the four-week consultation period, the social media campaign reached more than 90,000 people, driving over 5,000 visitors to the consultation website. Almost 500 people submitted feedback, with over half expressing support for the proposals.
Throughout the process, Meeting Place also provided Prologis with strategic advice on engagement with local elected representatives and other key stakeholders.
Outcome
Prologis is expecting to submit a planning application for the site to Lichfield District Council later this year.
