Jade Uko
Regional Director
Jade is an experienced advocate in her patch as Director of South and East. As a former unitary Councillor in Bedfordshire, Jade sat on planning committee as well as leading on health and adult social care on committee and group capacity. Jade’s career started in corporate communications where she qualified in public relations before moving into politics and working with an MP.
She has experience of large-scale strategic housing sites, inner city regeneration and commercial development across a wide variety of sectors including life sciences, leisure and heritage. Jade believes that inclusion should be the starting point in delivering development which benefits communities and working with partners to help reset the narrative on the delivery of homes and jobs.
Passionate about economic regeneration, development and infrastructure and, recognising the importance of these to the UK economy, Jade was delighted to have been appointed as the Federation of Small Businesses East of England Chair where she leads on policy championing small businesses at every level of government.
On the weekend Jade can be found in a blanket reading a book or sipping on margaritas with friends; there is no in-between.
