Norfolk is "open for business"

News

Norfolk has seen substantial development, with a clear goal from the councils to make sure that this growth aligns with its distinctive character, benefiting both new and current residents.

Joined by the longest serving Leader in Norfolk, Councillor John Fuller OBE (Leader of South Norfolk District Council), Councillor Sam Chapman-Allen (Leader of Breckland District Council) and Councillor Sarah Suggitt (Deputy Leader and Executive Member for Strategic and Operational Planning at Breckland District Council), we discussed the issues that Norfolk is currently facing regarding development and how to overcome these.

Topics of conversation included viability, infrastructure delivery, the need for more affordable housing, and how to engage effectively to manage expectations on what can and cannot be delivered. Both Councils are “open for business” and encouraged pro-development providing it’s in the right place and delivers the right benefits.
