Peter Thompson

Senior Designer

Originally from the Midlands, Peter’s design career began as a ceramist, specialising in crafting Bonsai pots. During this period, he honed his skills as a potter, before enrolling in a local art school and beginning his artistic education. It was here that Peter explored a wide array of art and design disciplines and discovered his passion for graphic design.

In 1994, Peter proudly graduated with a BA Honours degree in Graphic Communication from UWE Bristol. Following a decade immersed in the design industry, he transitioned into teaching design communications, freelancing in design, and eventually founding and overseeing a thriving branding agency for two decades.

Throughout Peter’s career, he’s had the privilege of collaborating with diverse clients spanning corporate, sports, health, and education sectors. Notably, in 2004, he contributed to the reestablishment of the Tour of Britain professional bicycle race, playing a pivotal role in developing its brand and serving as the branding and podium manager. Among his clients are esteemed entities such as VW, Oxford University, University of Bristol, the NHS, the Royal Navy, Bath Rugby, and many others.

Outside of design Peter is involved with professional bicycle racing managing branding and podiums for events such as The Tour of Britain, Women’s Tour and Ride London Classique.

His steadfast focus has always been on facilitating effective communication, assisting clients in authentically and meaningfully conveying their messages to their intended audiences.
